Other than the iconic Ray Bradbury, very few writers have ever experimented with presenting compelling science fiction stories on stage, so we’re incredibly excited to be spearheading this completely unique festival.

We’re also tremendously happy to be presenting it here in Los Angeles -- a city that in addition to being the hometown and launching pad of such legendary sci-fi figures as Bradbury, Olivia Butler and Leigh Brackett, has also played a major role in the development and expansion of the genre around the globe.

Sci-Fest LA is fueled by the creativity and dedication of a large community of Los Angeles-based artists, patrons and volunteers.  Our common goal is to produce an annual festival of new, beautifully realized, visually compelling sci-fi one-acts featuring many well-known actors from your favorite sci-fi and fantasy franchises.  In addition, the festival sponsor two short story writing contests:  The Tomorrow Prize (for local high school students) and The Roswell Award (for adult writers).

All of us at Sci-Fest LA are excited to see how the festival may evolve and grow in the years to come.  There are many ways to participate in Sci-Fest LA.  Please contact us at, if you would like to be a part of this innovative, one-of-a-kind event.

The festival is currently scheduled to return to the ACME Theatre in Los Angeles in May, 2016 with an entirely new slate of shows.  To get the latest news about the festival, please sign up for our mailing list by CLICKING HERE!

We hope to see you there!
